Marine Drive picture
[edit]I too would really like to see that picture on the article, but the problem is that it fits none of the sections correctly. I was thinking about changing the subtitle (the text appearing under the picture) of the image to something more suitable for the economy section. Wikipedia rules are very strict, and the text should confrom to a neutral point of view. Perhaps you can help with this?
We really cannot have any more sections in the article, as we are to strictly follow the guidlines on WikiProject Indian cities. The article is almost up to featured article status, and will soon be there, I hope.
By the way, your image is there currently there on Economy of Kochi. -- thunderboltza.k.a.Deepu Joseph |TALK05:27, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
This is a message to all Category:Kerala Wikipedians
I want your opinion on this particular person Pradip Somasundaran. He claims to be a famous singer in Kerala. Now being a Malayalee, I have not heard of this person before, so I wonder whether or not you have heard of him before and set this issue straight. If so, then please let your opinion be counted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pradip Somasundaran. Please note that by voicing your opinion as a Malayalee/Keralite will add more weight to your words.
Many Thanks --Ageo020 21:42, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Your recent addition to Overland Park, Kansas
[edit]You recently added information about the Korean War Veterans Memorial to the Overland Park, Kansas article (diff), but the information you added is very thin and is not written to stand the test of time. Please add a few more details, and rewrite the information such that it will read the same in the future. Let me know if you have any questions! Stack 20:50, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Fair use image in userspace
[edit]A Traintalk 17:55, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article TaxACT, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
(note: I see that you have said in your initial comment that you are not affiliated with TaxACT, so don't think it's spam. But if so - can you get hold of some sources for the claim that it's notable, independent from the company? The company's own claim of number of returns filed just doesn't qualfiy..) Alvestrand 07:19, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- I actually removed the prod template myself. After a little googling, I found a couple of probably-independent reviews I could link to, and added the links to the article. No guarantee that it will last - there isn't a page on TurboTax any more; it redirects to the company... but at least it won't be gone in five days. --Alvestrand 06:31, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:AnavalMothiram.gif
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:AnavalMothiram.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:41, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:TalkingRocksCavern.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:TalkingRocksCavern.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:24, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Kerala Association of Kansas City
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kerala Association of Kansas City requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Alexf(talk) 22:11, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
